FoxGuard Solutions is led by a group of professionals that have proven their leadership capabilities. Combining diverse backgrounds and many years of industry experience, the leadership team has forged a model for steady growth even in the wake of tough economic conditions.

Marty Muscatello

President & Chief Executive Officer

With 25 years of management experience, Marty joined FoxGuard Solutions in 2003 as President. He has served as President and CEO since May 2005. With a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering as well as an MBA from Virginia Tech, Marty spent the earlier part of his career focused on operational excellence and lean manufacturing. Later, he managed multiple divisions of varying corporations. During his time at FoxGuard, both revenue and workforce numbers have more than tripled. Marty is very active in the Roanoke-Blacksburg technology community and serves on multiple boards.  

Tim Lawson

Chief Financial Officer

Tim began working at FoxGuard Solutions in 1992 and held various leadership roles before accepting his current position as Chief Financial Officer, among them: Vice President/Controller, Purchasing and Quality Manager, and Operations Manager. Named CFO of the Year by Virginia Business Magazine in 2006, Tim continues to focus on the company’s growth and profitability. He holds a BS in Marketing Management and an MBA from Virginia Tech.  

Michael Trautman

Vice President & Chief Technology Officer

Michael joined FoxGuard Solutions in 1999 as a member of the research and design engineering team. Throughout his career, he has held roles as Engineer, Program Manager, Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering and Business Director.  In 2014, Michael was named Vice President and Chief Technology Officer charged with leading the research and development strategy and overall business operations of the security business unit.  

Patrick Patterson 

Vice President, Industrial Computing

Patrick joined FoxGuard Solutions in 2016 to lead the Industrial Computing division.  He brings a broad experience base of working with multi-national corporations in both domestic and international leadership roles. Patrick’s focus is on developing and operationalizing strategy to drive profitable growth via strong customer relationships and a high performance culture. He received his MSc degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has done executive studies via the Copenhagen Business School and Insead.  After a 6 year expat assignment in Switzerland, Patrick moved to Virginia in 2010.
